We stopped on a Thursday night with big group of native southerners, midwest and west coast diners, with advance reservations for 12, they quickly accommodated our additions of up to 17 people, from 7 to 83 years of age. With its Americana decor with a some Harley Davidson memorabilia thrown in, that really pleased the Milwaukeeans in our group we tried many of the entrees from their traditional pulled pork to grilled catfish, from vegan platters to deep-fried barbecued chicken (all 3 of those served, said it was “best chicken ever”.)
From spicy pool-slaw to sweet banana pudding, we loved it all and we drank lots TEA , sweet, unsweet and Lemon Tea – my favorite. We want to thank Kayla for her patience in keep track of about 16 separate checks and her wonderful service. It was truly a meal we will all remember.
I don’t know if this group will ever meet again in Cookvile, TN but I know if any one of us is travels through middle TN, we will go out of way to stop at this homey little spot.
